Info

Must Be Tuesday is a one-woman folk act from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Nancy Price is the sole composer and performer. She mostly likes making songs that are funny. Must Be Tuesday's recordings range in style from synth rock to unplugged folk to piano pop, while live performances are acoustic-guitar-and-voice comedy awesomeness that gets an enthusiastic response from first time listeners.

Must Be Tuesday's first CD, My Boyfriend's Girlfriend, was released in July 2007. It features smart, catchy songs about love, bandmates, breakups, and the hilarity of revenge. The most frequently shared song, My Boyfriend's Girlfriend (Isn't Me), is about how complicated it is to have multiple partners (who also have multiple partners), and is a rare example of a light-hearted song on the subject. "A couch where four can snuggle up / suddenly isn't big enough / and even so we don't give up. / There's no such thing as too much love."

More recent works include the fun, childish, Edmonton-inspired song Whatever the Weather; a nerdy love-letter to Leonard Nimoy called Just Like Spock; and a jazzy appeal for cookie-related coercion called My Favourite Bribe. Nancy's influences include Guns n' Roses, Weird Al Yankovic, Jonathan Coulton, Leonard Cohen, and her brother Ken, and she has been compared to Kimya Dawson and Dar Williams. She is constantly learning and growing as a musician and as a songwriter, and is currently working on her second CD.
